Soulshine Bagel in Lake Placid

Tasty bagels and great service! Came with my family to have breakfast, I took bagel with egg, cheese and sausage, my husband took bagel with cream cheese and salmon, also they have fruit puree for the kids ( witch we took, and organics). Love the fact that it's very clean inside ( kitchen ) and owner was very friendly. Highly recommended this place, great food and amazing service, will definitely come back.

We ate breakfast from here every day during our trip. It was short walk from Crown Plaza and we did bagels to go. Eng and cheese with spinach on everything bagel!!! They close early at 12. My 7 yr old wanted bagels for lunch too so had to get one extra for him for lunch! Great job guys!

This place gets a big five star. 3 people working there n each one was super nice. Breakfast sandwich was so good. Highly recommend

This is your morning stop! Coffee with a ham egg and cheese bagel. Food is good and people are very friendly. Large variety of breakfast options and awesome bagels. Reasonably priced.

Wow. So bad. Service is horrible. Toasted to them means warmed. Buttered means margarine. No egg salad no tuna salad. What a bad way to start the day. Regrettable choice to say the least. Updating review because now eating the BLT, they put sliced cheese inside! What the?

What a great family owned place. I recommend to try Polaris bagel with smoked salmon. It is a tradition already to visit this bagel shop while we are in Lake Placid on vacation.

We definitely recommend Soulshinebagel as the best breakfast place in Lake Placid that opens as early as 7 AM every day.We enjoyed delicious food, good selection of bagels, spreads and toppings, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and a full coffee bar, including a decaf option.It's a family-owned and operated business. They make their customers feel valued and welcomed.

Small shop with New York style bagels. Best for breakfast. I am unaware of another place nearby that makes fresh bagels. No competition makes for a loyal customer base !

We love Soulshine! I have been going here for years, every time I am in Lake Placid, and I just took my boyfriend there for the first time today. He had nothing but good things to say about his Route 73 on a garlic and my breakfast bagel was perfect as always!

Friendly people. Excellent, fresh bagels made on-site (for a transplanted New Yorker [NYC] this is a real treat). Pleasant atmosphere. Good prices for beeakfast or lunch sandwiches. One of the best places in Lake Placid.

This is a very quaint bagel shop! I got an everything bagel with cucumber and dill cream cheese. It was delicious, A nice crunch on the outside and chewy on the inside and the cream cheese flavour was a great change! They have lots of other bagel and cream cheese options as well as smoothies and coffees. I would recommend!

Solid bagel and coffee stop from a local purveyor who cares about the finer points of business with attention to detail and pride in business. An ideal location for a quick bite to sustain one through a morning of outdoor activity.

Many different types of homemade bagels. Limited seating area (10 high chairs). Very tasty and a local favorite. Highly recommended!

The staff seem very overwhelmed, hectic, and unorganized. The store was out of at least half of the things we tried ordering and it felt like the staff was trying to rush us out of the store. The food and coffee were good but the service was subpar at best.

We loved this place, picked up breakfast all three days we were in town, and a couple of bagels to carry up Mt Marcy for our hike! They make for a great snack to pack away (even when enjoyed in the rain on the mountain...). Bagels are a good size, just the right amount of fluffy and chewy. Everything had the personal touch, including the home cooked eggs for the sandwiches. Service was speedy considering how busy it was even on a Sunday morning when you couldn’t get a table for brunch anywhere in town for under an hour-long wait.To the reviewer commenting on the price, I would invite him to try the packaged bagels down the street for 30% more, then return to Soulshine to appreciate a homemade version at, what we thought, was a good price.

Soulshine bagels is AMAZING I was visiting the area with my s/o we got bacon egg and cheese on everything bagels we also grabbed some chocolate croissants and every single thing was so delectable. Not only was the food out of this world but the people were so kind and personable will definitely visit any time we're in the area<3

This place was great! My boyfriend and I visited Lake Placid for the weekend. We stopped here twice. The bagels we're delicious, the owners (I'm assuming they owned it) we're very friendly. Jalapeno cream cheese was a major hit! Will stop in whenever we're back here.

Delicious breakfast spot in the main village! Large, tasty bagels of many different types. A must try!

Service was unorganized and dysfunctional. By noon they were out of several types of bagels. The food was okay but they messed up our orders. Might be worth a trip to the grocery store to buy your own bagels and toppings to avoid the wait and hassle.

BEST BAGEL PLACE EVER!!! i’d definitely check it out! sometimes it’s very busy but it’s just because it’s so good! when in lake placid for a week we went every morning for breakfast. i’d definitely recommend to everyone to try it out!

Came here 3 days in a row for breakfast as it was filling, delicious, and great value compared to other restaurants down the strip! Opens super early so you can pick up a bagel for lunch for the long hike up Marcy. Always managed to find a table and the folks are friendly and super efficient.

Such a great experience in Lake Placid! Owner treats you like family and bakes like you're family. He takes pride in using the best ingredients and baking from scratch to ensure that you have the best food possible.... Take a moment to have breakfast or lunch here to truly enjoy what eating local and from people who care truly means. The food and experience will bring you back here every time you visit.

We stopped here for breakfast, food was great, variety of bagels and lots of options for bagel sandwiches, ordered to go. They had a graham cracker bagel which I’d never heard of before and it was good! They were very busy when we stopped in but we got our food quickly. We plan on going back for more quick, inexpensive breakfasts during our stay.

Nice surprise to see this was opened early on Dec.26th.We has breakfast wraps which were delicious. A small and cozy place to take on the go because not a lot of places to sit and eat but I need to say an excellent service to the the man who served us that morning. Hit this place up several times on our trip to Mirror Lake. Great name for a shop, like the Gov't Mule song , "Soulshine, it's better than sunshine, it's better than moonshine, ..." Staff was gratuitous an appreciative; all great attributes to have when you're spending the few days you have off a year on vacation.Coffee was self serve; a big plus in my book.Bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel was satisfying.Nice spot to people watch...they have bar stools and a countertop overlooking the street or an outdoor patio set. Update: this place is still awesome...stayed in the area and stopped by! Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great place for a good breakfast option to go. Bagels on the whole are fresh and soft from what experienced. The schmears are all good quality, and properly applied. The bagel egg sandwiches are great! Really good option if you want a little hardier option for the start of your day. Our group went for lunch also (though missed that trip) and everyone was really happy with their sandwiches they all said). Staff moves people through pretty quickly, even though the line seems a bit long sometimes. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Definitely patron these folks, they are good people and provide good product.

We stopped here for breakfast in the morning. Absolutely delicious. So many varieties of bagels and different sandwiches. The kids loved the rainbow bagels. Definitely worth stopping in for and good prices too.

This place has the best bagels I have ever eaten! It is a little small and can get a little crowded but it is so worth the wait. My kids loved the rainbow bagel. My favorite was the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese (delicious)! Great family owned place. The texture of the bagels were perfect! After reading online that they had rainbow bagels, we just had to stop! We ended up coming here every day for breakfast. They had fresh, homemade bagels and cream cheese options. They had other unique options for flavors as well. There was limited seating. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop! Delicious lox bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese! It was late in the morning so they had run out of several varieties but there were plenty of my choice, everything, left for my sandwich.
